We decided to go to Jones Gap State Park since we figured it would be a lot cooler than Bunched Arrowhead or Pleasant Ridge. We were right! It was still a wee bit hotter than we'd like but not completely unbearable.
Lucy seemed to really enjoy it once she was all settled in her front carrier. She nursed twice throughout the afternoon and fared really well.

Of course, Darwin and Tucker were there with us. It was a family activity, after all. :o)
We hiked all the way to Jones Gap Falls (it wasn't really that far but with the heat and the extra weight, it sure felt like double the actual length!).

Daddy Jared decided to dip Lucy's feet in the cool waterfall. She didn't know what to think about it and her lower lips shivered! Poor baby...
We didn't encounter much wildlife other than this millipede. Maybe it was a little too hot for them too.
Can't wait for Fall to be here so we can go on more hikes!
